When you’re looking for a housekeeping job, the first thing to think about is where you want to work.

Who will work for you?
If you want a house cleaning job, you’ll need to be 18 or over and eligible to work in the UK, as well as being at least 18 years old and have an interviewable skillset.
The job pays around £35 an hour.
The average wage for a first-year housekeeper is £19.40 an hour, but there’s a wide range of housekeeping jobs available, depending on your experience and your qualifications.

How much does it cost to be a house keeper?
Housekeeper salaries are usually around £18 to £24 an hour depending on their level of experience, but you’ll also have to consider your skills, as a lot of the jobs you apply for pay below the minimum wage.
You’ll need a valid visa and a UK work permit, and your application will need to demonstrate that you can work in a team environment.

Can you work as a house cleaner?
The job doesn’t require a degree or even a degree in housekeeping, but some housekeeping roles require experience in cleaning.
They also need to have experience with vacuuming and other household tasks, as they are expected to be responsible for keeping the house tidy and in good repair.
What happens when a house is damaged?
If a house or an object is damaged in an accident or fire, it could be covered by a £1,000 home repair levy and a cleaning levy.
If the house or object has been in the house for more than three months, the owner will be charged £1 per day it’s left unattended.
What is a cleaning deposit?
If your cleaning duties are not covered by your housekeeping contract, the housekeeping company will deduct a cleaning charge from your pay.
If it’s a £500 cleaning deposit, that means that the cleaning company will pay the cleaning deposit directly to your bank account.
You can choose to deduct it directly from your bank statement or claim it on your tax return.

A housekeeping service is a service that has been offered by a company in the past and has been accepted by the government.
It will often pay a fixed amount of cleaning costs.
What types of cleaning services do housekeepers need?
Some housekeepers also need the cleaning services of a professional cleaning company, which may include contractors and cleaners who do work for them.
Housekeeping jobs are often performed by people from a range of backgrounds, including: nurses and medical assistants, lawyers and public health workers, house cleaners, carers, teachers, teachers’ aides, carpenters, and even police officers.
How do I get a housecleaning job?
There are many different kinds of housecleansing jobs, and they’re all subject to different regulations.
If a company offers houseclearing services, it will need you to have at least one year of experience and have been in an approved housecleaner role for at least two years.
This is known as a “work permit”.
Once you have a work permit and have passed the inspection, you can apply for a job.
Some companies require you to pass a written test, while others may only require you pass an interview.
