The latest Netflix movie, Housekeeping, is getting its very own movie-by-movie series.
The first episode of the series, “Housekeeping,” is out now and will be available on Netflix for free on April 5th.
The series is directed by Adam and Amanda Miller and written by Amy Lopatto.
“Housekeepers” will be an episodic series, and will run for 12 episodes.
The show’s creators are already making some fun new names for their characters.
According to Netflix, “The housekeeper is a quirky character who will bring humor and a sense of whimsy to the series.”
“Housekeeper” will star Zoe Kazan, who played a female version of the Housekeeper in the movie “Babysitters Club,” and will follow her as she continues her work as a housekeeper in New York City.
“The idea is to have a housekeeping show that will have characters who are quirky and unique,” Miller said in a press release.
“We wanted to make a show that is both quirky and fun, but also not just a generic sitcom.”
Housekeepers will be the first Netflix series to feature two female lead characters.
“It was a great idea to make an ambitious new series with two women,” Kazan told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I think it will be fun to see how this will evolve and how it plays in different places.”
Netflix also recently released the trailer for “Housekeep.”
